1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using this website (heelingwithnature.com), booking services, or engaging with Heeling with Nature Dog Training, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or my services.

Booking

Appointments may be scheduled through Square Appointments or by contacting me directly. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.

Cancellation Policy

  • Client Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50 percent of the session cost.

  • Same-Day Cancellations or No-Shows: Same-day cancellations or failure to attend a scheduled appointment will be charged the full session fee.

  • My Cancellations: I reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to illness, emergencies, or weather conditions. In these cases, you will not be charged, and I will work with you to reschedule.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of booking or at the time of service, as specified. Payment methods include Venmo, PayPal, cash, or credit/debit card. Online payments through this website are processed through Square. By providing payment information, you authorize me to charge the agreed-upon fees for services rendered.

Refund Policy

  • Refunds for services are considered on a case-by-case basis and at my sole discretion

  • Package purchases are non-refundable once the first session has been completed

  • In the event of extenuating circumstances, partial refunds may be considered

  • Ensure your dog is up to date on vaccinations. Proof may be required prior to or during services

  • Notify me immediately of any aggressive behavior or incidents

  • Be present and engaged during training sessions

Disclaimer of Results

Dog training outcomes vary based on many factors, including owner consistency, environment, individual dog temperament, and the nature of behavioral issues. While I strive to provide effective guidance and support, I cannot guarantee specific results or outcomes. Training success requires ongoing commitment from owners.

5. Safety and Liability

Assumption of Risk

Dog training involves inherent risks, including potential injury from dog bites, scratches, or other incidents. By engaging my services, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Liability Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for:

  • Injuries to you, your dog, or third parties during or related to training sessions

  • Property damage occurring during training sessions

  • Illness or injury to your dog, except where caused by my gross negligence or intentional misconduct

  • Behavioral issues that persist or worsen despite training

Insurance

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate homeowner’s or renter’s insurance that covers dog-related incidents. I recommend confirming that your policy covers training activities.

Right to Refuse or Terminate Services

I reserve the right to refuse or terminate services at any time if:

  • Your dog exhibits dangerous or unmanageable behavior

  • You fail to follow safety recommendations

  • You behave in a threatening, abusive, or inappropriate manner

  • You fail to pay for services

  • Continuing services would be unsafe or unethical

In cases of termination, fees for completed sessions are non-refundable. Fees for future sessions may be refunded at my discretion.
